SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to begin direct services between Sharjah and Gdansk starting December 14, 2026, establishing a new route linking the UAE with northern Poland. The airline will operate five flights per week connecting Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. Flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This route will provide travelers in Poland’s Pomeranian region with a direct air connection to Sharjah.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs from Sharjah at 4 p.m., arriving in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return, G9 0629, takes off from Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reaches Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following day. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the departure from Sharjah is at 8:15 a.m., with the return flight leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.
Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah after the airline’s planned December expansion. The airline already connects Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its UAE hub. Additionally, flights to Katowice will commence on Dec. 17, 2026, three days after the Gdansk route begins. The Katowice service will operate four times weekly, further expanding the airline’s Polish network.
Gdansk enhances direct connectivity with northern Poland
The new route to Gdansk adds a Baltic coast destination to Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah. The airline already serves several key European cities, including Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport serves the wider Tri-City region of Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other parts of northern Poland. It offers both domestic and international connections for travelers seeking leisure or business travel within the region.
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive of Air Arabia, stated that Gdansk would strengthen the carrier’s footprint in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the importance of the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE. The airport has identified Sharjah as a transfer point for onward journeys to destinations such as India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Consequently, the new flights will enable Gdansk passengers to connect seamlessly to Air Arabia’s broader network via its hub in Sharjah.
Five weekly flights scheduled to begin in December
Air Arabia’s fleet, consisting of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, will operate this new route, with bookings now open. The airline has scheduled flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Monday and Saturday, with the return flight G9 0629. For Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, services will use flight G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All timetable times are local, and the route will operate nonstop both ways.
The December 14 launch marks an expansion of Air Arabia’s direct Polish network, shortly before the carrier initiates its Katowice service. With Krakow and Warsaw already in operation, these two additional routes will give the airline four Polish destinations from Sharjah. Gdansk will see five weekly flights, while Katowice will operate four under the published schedule. The airline continues to confirm the Gdansk start date and five flights per week for December 2026.
