SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia has announced the commencement of nonstop flights from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport, scheduled to begin on November 15, 2026. The airline will operate this route four times each week, creating another direct link between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Already connecting Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, Air Arabia’s new service offers travelers access to two airports serving Amman. Flights will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are now open via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month ahead of the first scheduled flight.
This new service from Sharjah enhances Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan network, which already includes routes from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates flights connecting Zayed International Airport with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the group runs direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah route provides an additional departure point for travelers heading to the Jordanian capital.
Second Jordan Airport Joins Sharjah Network
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, highlighted that the new service offers travelers an alternative airport option in Amman. He emphasized that the route will enhance convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a second gateway in Jordan on Air Arabia’s Sharjah schedule.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport, starting May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. The Abu Dhabi-based airline previously served Queen Alia International Airport and, with the new service, offered a total of 10 weekly flights to Amman. The introduction of the Sharjah route extends this two-airport model to the UAE’s northern emirate.
Four Weekly Flights Strengthen UAE-Jordan Connectivity
Throughout its published schedule, the new Sharjah flights will use the G9 169 and G9 170 service numbers. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, and passengers can enjoy SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers are encouraged to book the new Amman City Airport flights via the airline’s standard sales channels ahead of the November start date.
The launch in November expands Air Arabia Group’s network linking the UAE and Jordan through multiple bases. Sharjah passengers will now have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi travelers already enjoy service to both airports via Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria also maintains a direct route to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah service will add four weekly flights to the group’s broader Jordan schedule, strengthening regional connectivity.
