The Central Bank of Egypt announced that remittances from Egyptians working overseas totaled approximately $29.7 billion from January through July 2026. This figure indicates a 28.1% increase from around $23.2 billion during the same period in the previous year. The seven-month total added about $6.5 billion compared to the first seven months of 2025. The data reflect funds transferred home by Egyptians employed abroad, with the July influx alone reaching about $4.5 billion, marking a 20% rise from roughly $3.8 billion in July 2025.
