RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia has announced the resumption of its nonstop daily flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode, starting October 16, 2026. This service re-establishes a direct link between the UAE emirate and the southern Indian state of Kerala. Tickets are already available via the airline’s sales channels. The route will connect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport. The airline revealed the restart plans on October 6.

This daily operation provides travelers with an additional direct option between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is a key city on Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The announcement did not specify departure or arrival times, nor did it specify which aircraft model will operate the resumed flights. Air Arabia has not yet published flight numbers for the October launch, but travelers can review current schedules during booking.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, expressed his enthusiasm about bringing back this route. He emphasized that the daily flights will offer a convenient connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline also highlighted the strong travel demand between these locations. The announcement primarily focused on the route’s connectivity, frequency, and confirmed restart date, without providing passenger volume forecasts or traffic estimates. No additional operational modifications were announced alongside this update.
Expansion of Ras Al Khaimah’s Flight Network with Daily Kozhikode Service
The return of Kozhikode flights will join several international routes already operating from Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, Air Arabia offers nonstop flights to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar from the emirate. Kozhikode will rejoin this network starting October 16. The airline launched services from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, and since then, the emirate has remained one of its main bases within the UAE.
The initial Kozhikode route began on November 22, 2023, with a schedule of three flights weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These services operated with Airbus A320 aircraft under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The newly announced schedule increases the route to a daily frequency, though the airline has yet to confirm if the same flight numbers will be used or specify operating times for the resumed flights.
Tickets Available for October 16 Service Restart
Passengers can purchase tickets via the airline’s website, call center, and authorized travel agents. These booking options were confirmed in the route announcement. The airline did not specify when the original Kozhikode service was discontinued or provide reasons for the interruption. No starting fares or aircraft details were shared in the announcement. The confirmed details include the route, daily frequency, and October 16 start date.
This restart restores a nonstop route between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala nearly three years after its initial launch. The service will now operate daily, replacing the previous three-times-weekly schedule, and will connect the two airports directly without layovers. Travelers interested in exact flight times, fares, or flight numbers can check current booking information before traveling. Air Arabia has not indicated any further modifications to the Kozhikode route beyond the daily service resumption.
